New Orleans to San Antonio….
December 10, 2008 – 10:01pm
Hello! We have covered some ground in the past 48 hours. Buckle up, let’s go for a ride. We stayed at the Hollywood Casino RV Park for two nights in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, I love this RV Park, and nooooo, it’s not because it’s right directly next to a casino (well, that may have something to do with it)
here’s some pictures……

And a free shuttle that zips you away right from your RV site to the front door of the casino…..I’m in heaven…..

Okay, so moving on. Yesterday we went to New Orleans for a few hours. Maybe four or five hours in the morning and walked around and looked around and, well, just being the typical tourist! The weather was windy but it was very nice out. A small rain cloud rolled by but nothing to pull out an umbrella for. It ended faster than it started.

We did do the horse and buggy tour around the city (they use a mule because they can handle the heat better than a horse can). That was a very nice tour. We learned alot about the history of New Orleans.

We left New Orleans and went back to the RV to check if the casino shuttle was going to stop right at our RV site (just curious) and they were still there circling the RV park finding potential casino Jackpot winners! So for the rest of the evening we went to the casino to unwind, after a while it’s so relaxing and intoxicating hearing those slot machines “pinging” like they do. Hmmmm, or maybe it’s the free alcohol drinks they feed you when you are dumping your money into one of those machines. Losing money while slurping on a margarita could make anyone feel kinda numb inside. Hey, let’s face it, it just eases the pain behind the blow to your wallet
Anyways, moving on, we stayed the second night in Biloxi (well, technically it’s Bay St. Louis) and left very early, that would be……this morning. Now we are up to speed…. Today, we left Bay St. Louis to go to San Antonio and I’m just going to share with you some of the sights I came across…….
To some guys, this would ring true if they couldn’t get into this place…..

I loved this sign on the tow car behind a HUGE motorhome…..

Okay, SOME people ought to buy an RV……. And I’m NOT kidding you, we passed this guy and from behind the front seat to the back window, it was unbelievably packed solid with stuff……

So, we made it to San Antonio tonight at 7pm to an RV Park off I-10. I know you won’t believe me but it snowed in San Antonio today. Did you get that….it SNOWED. We left New Hampshire 2 weeks ago and it’s been 3,000 miles already to get away from what???? The SNOW. And today we drove across Texas in what? The SNOW. I could not believe it. Well, we made it to an RV Park in San Antonio at 7pm and we are going to kick back here for a few days visiting the Riverwalk and all those San Antonio attractions. Yeah, we’ll get around to doing all that when it stops snowing……. Talk to you tomorrow…..
