So, tell me…..how did your first day of the year go?? Mine went great! I’m back in my talkative mood again! It should be a crime to live like this. The life of an RVer!! I slept late this morning (rough night with the crowds last night, boy that was rough), we went to a late lunch around 4pm today, and I profited $225 from the slot machines tonight. Oh, let me tell you about our lunch today. On New Years Eve in the mist of that chaos, crazy, crowded mob, we all ended up at a casino called “Billy’s…..”, I don’t remember the name of it, Billy’s something casino, but anyways, my Mom was sitting at the quarter slot machine and she pulled the slot machine lever (yes, she’s the only person in Las Vegas that still uses the slot machine lever to get those reels rolling, everybody else just hits the “Spin” button) and she hit $250 dollars!! Can you believe it, on New Years Eve!! So she paid for our lunch today. And you know what they say about a free lunch, don’t you….it tastes twice as good!
Hee Hee. BUT, yes, there’s a BUT, we went out to Fremont street tonight and I won $225 dollars tonight, so guess who’s buying lunch tomorrow!! I think my Dad is the only one making out in this deal…..everytime my mom or I win big (over $200 dollars), he gets a free meal. Hmmmmmm, wait a second…..who’s really winning here?? But, I think I discovered a new found career. If I can keep up my streak of luck and keep winning $225 a day, working my luck 5 days a week, whoa, that’s alot of money. I’ll let you know how I do tomorrow. I think I could make a living at this!! Oh, I just now heard on the TV news that 290,000 people showed up on the 4 1/2 miles stretch of the Las Vegas Boulevard. Now the news is talking about the 2008 economy, okay, back to telling you what else I did today. After a trip to Fremont street tonight and winning all my money…..OH, I didn’t tell you how I made my $225 dollars on the slot machine tonight. Listen, I know you will not believe me. Actually I don’t expect you to believe me when I tell you this story. I swear I thought I was dreaming when it happened. I couldn’t believe my eyes and the manager came over to me and looked around to see if I was “up to something”. But, I wasn’t. Okay, there are three “Blazing 7″ slot machines all lined up in a row, only three of them, the casino (I’ll keep the name of the casino out of this blog incase I want to go back and try again later….my secret casino *smile*), and they were all quarter slot machines. So, I sat down at the first Blazing 7 slot machine and I put a five dollar bill in the slot machine and hit the button to play 3 quarters at a time (I’m a big spender tonight), and then after the second spin, it showed up one at a time on the reels 7…..7………..7, wow, I did it, I won $75 bucks!! I was beyond happy! I thought to myself…..Is this how my year is going to begin?? Okay, so, any gambler knows that once you hit a decent payout on a slot machine, you cash out and move on. So I cashed out and sat down at the next Blazing 7 slot machine next to it and sure as s—, I mean, poop, I put a five dollar bill in that one and on the first hit 7…..7…….7 came up, now at this little casino (it is a small casino, anyone that has been to Fremont Street knows which one I’m talking about…..tiny casino), the manager walks over and looks at the first slot machine, unlocks it and opens it up. By now I’m cashing out of the second slot machine of $75 bucks, and moved over to the third and last Blazing 7 slot machine and as the manager is looking at the inside of the first slot machine, he’s eyeing the second machine that matches the same display of 7’s, so I sit down at the third Blazing 7 slot machine and I shove another five dollar bill into it quickly before he comes up with any ideas of banning me from playing due to machine malfunction or some sort of reason. So, I hit the button, nothing, I see the manager is standing there out of the corner of my eye, I hit the button again, nothing, I hit the button again, nothing, hmmmmm, so I decide to play out the rest of my five dollars and as I get comfy in the chair yep, one more time, 7…..7……..7 comes up. I hit that “cash out” button so fast and got out of there. I swear I thought I was in the best dream, I mean, it’s not a million dollars, but what’s the chances. $75 dollars 3 times in a row!! I’m definitely going back to that casino and try again. I can’t wait! And No, I’m not telling you the name of the casino. I don’t care if you don’t believe me, that’s exactly what happened. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Hahahaha. But, it’s a true story. Really! How freaky, huh? It’s like, scary luck. Oh, did I tell ya that I got some GREAT pictures of Fremont Street for you. You know that light show overhead on the canopy that I was talking to you about, well, I got pictures of it…….just for you!!!!!
This is the overhead canopy that goes over the street…..

It’s getting darker out, the neon lights are starting to come on and my new camera can handle it!

This is the casino, Binion’s Casino, that we’ve eaten at three times since we got to Las Vegas on December 18th. They have the best Prime Rib dinner for $7.95 and it comes with a salad, vegetable, and a potato!!! Yummy!! Oh, you need that magic Player’s Card to get that deal so don’t forget to sign up for the Player’s Card first, then go eat. Oh, and one more thing about this restaurant…you can play Keno while you dine!! I love it!!
FYI: In case you forgot, we are in Las Vegas until Jan 20th……

Here’s that overhead light show on the canopy I was talking about before. 5 million little light bulbs and surround sound with 500 speakers on Fremont Street, it’s a great show that is displayed at the top of the hour between 6pm to midnight and the light show lasts about 5 or 6 minutes. A different themed show every hour!!

Gosh, I wish I remembered this guy’s name. He’s a great Saxophone player and was selling his CDs on Fremont Street. He plays great music! All his different CDs that he was selling all say “Safe Sax” on them incase you want to google it and find out more information about him. Sigh…..Fine, I’ll do it for you….hang on…..Okay, here’s his website here and his name is Carl Ferris.

Keep the $225 dollars I just won! Just let me win this!! Just once, let me win this……

I took this picture so show all my friends back home that I’m not suffering……I’ve got Dunkin Donuts here too!

And of course, can’t leave Las Vegas without going in a few Souvenir shops!

So that’s what I did today and as you can clearly see I am in love with my new camera. Someone emailed me to ask what kind of camera I got. Let’s see here….it’s a FujiFilm FinePix F480. It’s simple, didn’t hurt my budget and very lightweight. My old camera was a FujiFilm and I liked the camera and since I bought a new memory card for it I didn’t want to buy a new memory card if I bought another brand name camera and not be able to use the memory card I just bought for the old camera. Did you get all that? I think I just confused myself…..Anyways, I would love to talk more as you can see I’m in a yappy mood and I would love to show you more pictures as you can see I do have a one year warranty with this baby, but it’s late and I must catch some shut eye so I can go out and get all new pictures for you tomorrow and tell you all about my day tomorrow! So good night and it’s lights out for this girl!
Oh, and thanks for checking on me, that was nice of you!
