Hey There! It was a beautiful day today, great weather and light wind. So far today we have done……nothing! Nothing at all! But, we will play catch up tonight wandering the Las Vegas strip. But, for now, I feel like yapping :) I want to tell you all about the Brand New Solar Powered Cottages! I mentioned this in my previous blogs, but now, let’s talk about them……

SAN DIEGO COUNTY RV RESORT IS FIRST IN THE NATION TO OFFER SOLAR-POWERED PARK MODELS AS LOW-COST WEEKEND COTTAGES!

Want to check out these solar powered cottages yourself?? Register (RSVP at sacredrocks@gmail.com or call 619-776-4480) to attend the Solar Party Event and touring of these solar power cottages on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, an educational presentation about solar power, with a Q&A session following. Isn’t that too cool!! Thanks to my pal Don in California for slipping me the pictures and the “hot” info about it. I hope everyone had a great day today and I’m off to the casinos. I’ll talk to you tomorrow! :)

Where is my number 28 ????

January 13, 2009 – 12:37am

Wow, I’m still sifting thru all the great, valuable information I got at the 2 day blogging conference I attended this past weekend. Great speakers there, learned about some new blogging tools I’m going to try out, and I got some great stuff. I won a copy of the software “Snag It”, I’ve heard of it before and I can really give it a test drive now. I got two books and two t-shirts. I will definitely be attending this same conference in 2010. So worth it and I had so much fun!! Anyways, we spent our day today with our friends from Colorado, Christine and Todd. We all took a trip to visit the Hoover Dam and took the tour of the Dam and generators that power the Hoover Dam. They’ve never seen it before, what a great day we all had with perfect weather. Later in the afternoon, we all went to Fremont Street and ate dinner at Binion’s Restaurant. We’ve been to this restaurant before and can’t get enough of it. This is the restaurant I always play Keno at when we dine there. Well, I picked my numbers and Christine and Todd played their numbers. We played our Keno numbers for five straight games. The first game I didn’t get anything, not a penny, but the second game…..when the second game pulled out all 20 numbers on the board, I got 6 out of 7 numbers (I just played 7 numbers total), and I couldn’t believe my eyes! I got 6 out of 7!! So, I tossed my ticket Christine’s way for her to double check my numbers (if you ask her, she would tell you I “threw” my ticket at her, but she knew it was out of dis-belief on my part), and she double checked my numbers. I won $380. If that lousy, no-good, number 28 came out to complete my card I would of been a very happy camper and 8 thousand dollars richer. But, of course, no 28. NO 28!!!!! Sorry, I still can’t believe it. No measly little 28, it didn’t show up. So I collected my $380, very happily paid the restaurant tab for everyone and pocketed $340 bucks. I’m still a happy camper. Just don’t mention the number 28 around me….ever. So after dinner, we walked around Fremont street and visited the many casinos there. Came back to the RV and now here I am. So, my retirement/vacation trip (whatever you call it) is still going great. Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, but when I find out, you’ll hear all about it. Good nite :)
