Hello! Welcome to Paradise (Yuma, Arizona). We will be here for over a month, till the end of February, sooooooooo, let me show you some of the pictures I took on the way down and around here *smile*…………
Somewhere between Las Vegas and Yuma, Arizona……..

What beautiful scenery in Arizona……..

Yippee, the sign we’ve been looking for…….

Yep, tomorrow morning we are off to Quartzsite, the nation’s largest RV Tradeshow.
I’ll tell you all about that in tomorrow’s blog……

We stayed in the Cocopah Casino parking lot Saturday night. We weren’t stranded, we had the casino right at our door step. Sunday night we stayed at Paradise Casino parking lot. At the Paradise Casino (Monday morning), we got one of those magic Player’s Cards and we enjoyed a breakfast of scrabbled eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, and a drink for $1.99, we will be going back there again soon.

Diesel prices are still on our side. We won’t have to drive around alot here. At the RV Park we are staying at here, we have a Super Walmart that is open 24 hours as our next door neighbor. We take the walkway thru a wide opening in a wall that is around our RV Park and you are in the parking lot of Walmart!! How cool is that? We went over there today and did our shopping and brought the Walmart shopping cart right back to our RV to unload. Life is good.

OH, I wanted to show you the exact miles from when we left Northwood, New Hampshire on November 26th. Lots of miles behind us and more to go ahead of us.

Here we are!! We have our own palm tree and cactus garden…..

HA!! I love this sign. These are the speed limit signs in the RV Park…….

Another picture of where we sit……

Awwww, we have our own cactus garden……

And from the cactus garden, just look up…….

Well, tomorrow we are off to Quartzsite. My camera is ready and so am I. So I’ll let you go today with a comment I got via email yesterday from a friend of mine, about the ”Where is the “stop time” button“ blog post I did on Friday. Thank you for taking the time to comment about my blog posting and your email says it all………
“Oh dear, you have yet so far to go on your life’s journey. I also looked for a “Stop Time” button once but realized that the next day is coming no matter what we wish, pray and hope for, so take it all in my dear and enjoy because you simply never really know what the future holds for you. Most of all, stay in good health, because without that, all the freedom and all the money in the world will mean nothing.”

WOW, We made it to Yuma, Arizona!! Does this make us official snowbirds. I mean, heck, I’m in snowbird capital of the world now! Smile!! I want to get out a quick blog posting to say that 2 nights of dry camping is enough for me. On Saturday we left Las Vegas at 10:30am and trekked the 6 hours down to Yuma. In Yuma, 99% of the RV Park offices are closed on weekends, so we had a rough it for 2 nights. Saturday night we stay in the parking lot of the Cocopah Casino. And last night we stay at the Paradise Casino parking lot. We have friends here that come down around October or so, so we caught up with yesterday and visited around a little. Today (Monday) we checked into Suni Sands RV Park. This place is great and I will be showing you a ton of pictures around this RV Park. They have an activity schedule packed with things to do. Let’s see, I’ve got the even schedule here with me…..We’ve got Bingo on Wednesday nights, Poker on Thursday nights, Shuffle onn Friday morning, Cribbage on Saturday nights, Potluck is Wednesday nights, so come on down! It’s 81 degrees during the day and 52 degrees at night. We are here for over a month and we are getting comfortable quickly. We have a festival in Yuma next week, check it out here. Too cool, I’ve got to see this and I will be taking pictures. We are going to Quartzsite this week and we are going to Mexico at the end of this week. My camera will be clicking away. Check back with me soon so see a lot of pictures of Snowbird Paradise in Yuma, Arizona!
