Things Are Simple In Yuma, Arizona

January 26, 2009 – 9:55pm

I know I skipped a blog entry last night but putting yesterday and today into one blog entry isn’t going to be that hard. I know there are some people that read my blog everyday and some times the content in my blog entries are going to be repeated, but the point of this blog is not only to try to tell you something new everyday, but just to tell you what I’m up to, even if I do the same thing everyday, so bare with me, I will continue to post a blog entry every single day (unless I’m traveling with no access to Wi-Fi connectivity, then I’ll be cradling my laptop and crying all night about being disconnected from society) :). Hey, you go with no cell phone signal and see how long you last. Exactly! My point has been made. :) Yesterday we went to a huge Flea Market in the morning, it’s actually open all day, from 8am – 4pm, but we went in the late morning and I was so happy….not because it was a huge Flea Market with alot of deals waiting to be discovered, not because there’s a food court right there with a live band playing to entertain you, but because the Flea Market here is pet friendly! So Jake came along to the Flea Market with me. He walked around next to me on a leash and met so many other puppies there. I swear there must of been 30 dogs there walking around the Flea Market and 10 of them were Malteses, that’s what I have is a Maltese. They are so easy to find, they all look the same, they are all white! Jake had his twin everywhere he looked!! So, we left there around noon (I didn’t buy anything). Then we relaxed in the RV Park all afternoon, laying out in the lawn chair. I love that. We’ve slowed down our pace alot…..more relaxing. Some people think that I’m bored here, but that’s far from the fact. I’m having a great time, I mean besides sleeping late, my eating schedule is thrown off (eating dinner at 9pm), it’s just pure relaxing. No place to be, no plans made, just do now what we feel like doing. The life of a retiree, the life of an RVer. But in between sleeping and eating, I go swimming, play bingo with the ladies, shop at Walmart (huge one too, open 24 hours), and yes, we leave the RV Park to go to the casino which we did tonight to enjoy their $9.95 buffet and I won a little bit of money ($20 bucks), and now we are watching “Masters Of Illusions” on TV back at the RV. Life is pretty simple being retired. But, if I was going to be retired permanently, I would seriously find a solid hobby to help me escape this computer sometimes. I’m on this computer way too much sometimes. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try shuffleboard. So, don’t think for once I’m bored or I’m having a miserable time. My absolute favorite part of the day is sitting outside in my lawn chair with Jake and watching people walk by in the RV park. There is really nothing better than soaking up 75 degree weather with a palm tree over my head. We are planning to go to Mexico sometime this week, we are waiting to catch up with some friends we have down here first so we can all go together. I’ll bring my camera when I go, I promise! :) Have a good night!
