RV Park Entertainment And Fast Food

Hello! Today was a very nice day out – 81 degrees! Some people back home (New Hampshire) just don’t want to hear that. For the first time this winter we actually turned on the AC in the pick up truck. I spent most of the day outside sitting in the lawn chair with Jake laying next to me enjoying the weather.

We are staying off Exit 2 off I-8 in Yuma and we have a very nice friend (we’ve known her forever) that we spend time with here that is staying off Exit 12….10 miles away from us. So this afternoon we headed over to her RV Park to see what was going on over there. We pulled up next to her RV and we all walked over to her recreational hall in her RV Park and there was a “Jam Session” going on.

This is where everyone in the RV Park and around the RV Park congregates and brings their musical instruments to create one big musical jamboree. There was plenty of people there too, maybe around 80 people enjoying the Jam Session. It was nice listening to the music and enjoying good company. I love that. Good company is priceless. Oh, and they had a 50/50 raffle….5 tickets for 2 dollars, ahhhhh, gambling. I’m not an addict, I swear.

Anyways, we stayed there from 6 to 8 and then the lady that we were with mentioned that the Del Taco restaurant has a “Tuesday 3 Taco” deal right down the road. Groan….I’ve never been a big fan of fast food joints at all. I’ll visit KFC, my stomach can tolerate that, but 99% of fast food restaurants just don’t agree with my tummy. But, I went because of that good ol’ saying, “When in Rome…..” right?

A Del Taco looks alot like a Taco Bell. I ordered a small chicken burrito (soft taco type sandwich), less the cheese, less the secret sauce, less the spice, and I’ll keep the lettuce. And it wasn’t too bad at all. Simple….burrito bread, chicken and lettuce. Would I go back again? First, let’s see if I sleep thru the night after just eating something like that.

After we parted company, we came back to our RV and settled in for some news on TV and here I am. So, not an overly exciting day but it was very enjoyable. Tomorrow we have reservations to go to a type of show that you eat dinner and watch a music show. I don’t know too much about it. The show’s vendor was at the Lettuce Festival that we went to a few weeks ago and that’s where we got the flyer about it. The owner of the show gave us a flyer and told us to stop by for the dinner and music show….of course he did….and of course we will! 🙂 I’ll take my camera and see if I can get some pictures for you.

OH, and this weekend there is an Elvis Presley Expo at the Cocopah Casino. There is an Elvis Presley competition and other Elvis themed stuff going on there. I don’t have alot of info on that either, but, yep…..we got tickets to go to that expo show too, so I’ll bring my camera and catch some Elvis shots. It should be an eventful week and I can’t wait to see everything…..talk to you tomorrow! Nite Nite! 🙂
